MANILA - Only four Filipinos remain on reality television contest, The X Factor Australia.
Teen singer Marlisa Punzalan and girl group Trill, composed of Pinays Sheralyn, Angel and Jessica, made it to the show's Top 24.
Punzalan is under Ronan Keating's Girls Under 25, while Trill is under Dannii Minogue's group.
However, another Filipino contestant, Jal Joshua, unfortunately did not make the cut.
The 17-year old student sang a rendition of Billy Joel song "Honesty" during boot camp.
He took to Facebook to thank all the people who supported him on X Factor Australia.

Jal Joshua made an impact with the four judges and even with the audience during his audition.

Punzalan had earlier wowed the judges with her performance during Bootcamp, singing "Never Be the Same." At 14, the shy schoolgirl is the youngest contestant on The X Factor Australia.

Robin Williams dies at 63 in apparent suicide

TORONTO — Actor and comedian Robin Williams died Monday morning. He was 63.
“I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings,” said his wife Susan Schneider, in a statement. “I am utterly heartbroken.”
She said she hopes “the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”
Williams was last seen alive in the home he shared with Schneider at around 10 pm Sunday.
Marin County Sheriff’s Office said Williams was found unconscious at his home in Tiburon, California and was pronounced dead shortly after 12 noon local time.
“At this time, the Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia,” read a release from the Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation into the cause of the death is underway. Police have scheduled a press conference for 11 am PT Tuesday, which will be streamed on Globalnews.ca.
“Robin Williams passed away this morning,” confirmed the star’s rep, Mara Buxbaum, in a statement.
“He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”
Williams had public battles with addiction throughout his career. In the late 1970s and early ’80s he was using cocaine but said he gave it up after the death of his friend John Belushi.
He went to rehab in Oregon in 2006 to deal with an alcohol problem.
This past July, Williams sought further treatment for his alcohol problem at the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota.
